Zanskar Valley |Adventurous Land, Ladakh|

The land has occupied by the greenery, despite comes under the category of harsh climate among the other parts of Ladakh region. It has its beauty bounded within huge mountains and act as a centre point for the travellers from Himachal Pradesh, Kargil, and Leh. The Land namely Zanskar which is commonly known as the "Land of lamas" Which holds mainly Buddhist religion with a few Muslims living together since decades maintaining the colour of unity to resist the communal speech. The region is the second-largest Buddhist inhabitant after Leh district and it comes under district Kargil UT Ladakh as a subdivision and is located at a distance of around 234 KMS from headquarters of district Kargil. The region has a total population of around 15 thousand.
Now come to my expression/views/article about the region Zanskar because I don't think to present you more about basics details as it is well described on google even by bloggers on their blog.

Pibiting(lungnak river view)

I would like to express every moment that took place for the last 4 months. At the start, while my first visit in my lifetime to the region, I was very excited to see/observe the place, its peoples, its environmental condition, and all.  I started my journey on 16 July 2020 with my friend Anayat Ali khan, While travelling to the place, the roads were very adventurous as the condition of the road found very rough from the village  Parkachik of kargil to Village ating(phey) of Zanskar and is still because the region is under development from all the sides. Day after reaching the headquarters of Zanskar i:e; padum, I joined the PWD deptt along with my friend and we got a staff quarter from the deptt, situated near to the bank of the river(Lungnak river) at pibiting. Next early morning because of my curiosity, I walked near to the compound wall of the campus and climbed over it and felt the cold breezes coming from the river blowing with a smooth touch to my cheeks silently while feeling it my sight goes to the mountain's peak, where the sun rays striking the top commencing the sign of sunrise from the east, birds chirping behind the bushes of seabuckthorn present few meters away from the wall scattered to the large extent and the trees. After that, I moved my head to backside and saw the prayer flags(tarchoks)  flattering on the terrace of houses due to the blowing air joining the chirping of birds, breezes to halt the silence of the morning and I took some photo shots of early morning scene.

Now coming to the image of the market, there is a huge market near the Tchowk (maneyringmo chowk) of padum. The market inhabits shops of almost all the basics requirements. The noiseless market in the morning time starts to engage peoples at around 11 am which comes from the nearby areas and far villages for shopping, duty, and other purposes and becomes almost silent again at the evening time as they move back to their destiny.

Both modern dress and Ladakhi traditional dress available in the markets especially the local spun wools.  Though the whole district was in lockdown due to Covid 19 during my visit but the atmosphere of Zanskar was very different, everything running normally as before, the only thing that Face mask which was mandatory and is still. The huge glacier which is near to the main Padum town stands on the north-west side melting in the day temperature sustaining water to the whole town and nearby villages throughout the year. Most of the villagers are directly dependent on spring water to drink as the spring water available in plentiful. Various Gonpas are built on huge mountains by very talented builders. lamas and chomos residing there to adopt ascetic life. The people of the region are very diligent even females involve in construction work to earn the bread and butter for their family. Besides this, Almost every household engage in cattle raising as the natural foods to the cattle are available in abundant. The houses are coloured mainly whitish from outside, the terrace full of dried cow dung and a bunch of local talbu(wood) decorated at the edge of the terrace to use in winter for heating+cooking purposes. Also, tarchoks the prayer flags placed at the edge of the terrace of every Buddhist's houses.
Block zangla considered as the hottest area of Zanskar which comes the south-east side of padum town, through which the famous chadar trek approaches. The north side of podium, there is Lungnak block, the very adventurous road of Zanskar which leads to Himachal Pradesh.
But the only thing which disappointed me even might everyone, that they lack in a communications system and the most important part of our today's life that is mobile internet, without internet it seems to be back in 19th,20th century.  There seems a huge loss for the whole people of Zanskar especially for the students as this compelled the students even businessmen to live abroad. Fortunately, The jio company has almost completed installing towers in Zanskar and may provide a 4G connection by the end of November according to updates from people. Let's see when they receive the traditional khataks.
Now let's move to the autumn season which is the time when trees etc starts shredding their yellowish leaves caused due to deficiency of essential elements. The whole lands are full of castles mainly cows left to feed on unnecessary grasses, weeds etc present in the fields. Freezing of still water on grounds starts in the morning revealing the sign of sub-zero temperatures in the region and it is believed to be very tough winter in Zanskar().
The inference of the article is that Zanskar is an adventurous land, best tourist spot,  best. Especially in summer if you want to make a summer holiday plan.
Though I want to pen down every moment the lengthy articles doesn't engage readers, hence I am having my last para here to observe full stop to the article.

Thank you and salute to your patience of reading.
