Where i was for the last month?

 It was the month of July 2020 when I was having a picnic with my family, the day when every one of us was very delightful for being together again. On the next day, I got the news of posting list from the Pwd department and I was very excited to see the list. My bet of posting was somewhere near the town but things went opposite. I started to search my name on the list and I found my place of posting, at the instant, I hit on my forehead saying "OH NO" after knowing the place. My family members started kidding with different dialogue just for fun like "wrap the sleeping bag and start the journey", "Get two-three sleeping bag", Etc.

    They wished me the best of luck for the job. On the same day, I got a call from an unknown number and he told me to go together with him as we both posted to the same place. (i will reveal the name of the place 😊, just wait and read).

     On the next day, we both planned and started our journey to the place which is about 234 Kms from the headquarter of district Kargil. We reached there after traveling for about 11-12 hours, the road was very rough and the undulations on the road were very hard to bear for a new traveler. After reaching Somewhere in the mid of way, the sceneries were glowing with magnificent views, fresh air was blowing in between the mountains, huge numbers of shrubs but the place lack trees as a whole. 

     Finally, We reached there and I was very excited to see the place for the first time. It was totally different from what I heard from others. And the place is Zanskar. 

     I was posted to PWD Division Zanskar. On the next day, I joined the department as JE along with my other two friends. We met with the head of the department. and got a warm welcome from the other staff. All the staff is very humble nature.

         The story begins from the day in Zanskar. Climate was very favorable. Though there is a lack of communication system this was an opportunity for us to engage with society, practical friendships, gossips which is far better than fake friendship and gossips on social media. There is only a band tower working hardly. I managed one and a half months without the internet, sometimes I started thinking about how I managed the day without the internet. There is no any jio or airtel tower working currently except in. The day used to spent there like decades before, where Everyone talking with each other for a long time even in the room. The Greenery is very magnificent for new travelers during summer but Don't know about the Winter( i will update later if I spent the winter too). The agriculture practice and cattle farming are the main sources of income for the people of Zanskar. A huge number of cattle used to rear on large scale in villages away from the headquarter of Zanskar i:e: Padum. Padum is the headquarter of the region Zanskar where all facilities available including head offices, helipads, etc. The people from the villages used to come there for shopping and celebrating festivals. 

         I want to write the whole story from second to second but things are not working as it should be. Therefore I have shared a small story of my first ever visit Zanskar. Actually blogging is my hobby too. All because of the internet facility in the region otherwise, I used to update blogs weekly.
