In the year 2007 a devastating flood washed out the whole river bound areas of the three villages viz; Sandow,yokma kharboo,samuna, due to the rupturing of wall of the lake as it was too old and not engineered with modern tools during its construction, which results in damages to property worth in lakhs of the villagers.

Later in the year 2016 again the water level rose up to the gate and with the increase in head differences there was the chance of bursting of the wall and piping failure but ‘thank GOD’ , the local villagers informed district administration for investigation and finally managed the whole situation on time.
